On saturday night I got a waft of Estee Lauder Youth Dew and was transported back to when we all used to go to Kendals perfume counter in Manchester just before going out for a free squirt of Youth Dew - a friend worked on the counter and the tester went very quickly. Can you remember what you used to wear. Some of the one's I can remember are as follows:
LADIES - Youth Dew, Cachet, Charlie, Styx.
MENS - Brut, Hi Karate, Mandate, Lynx.

I loved the advert where the girl runs after the bloke wearing Hi Karate - Is that what happened to you Andy?

The smell of Brut Linds. preferably with a man attached to it! So what perfume did you wear then. I loved Styx but it was hard to get hold of. Blue Grass was another favourite and Charlie. Spent ages in the duty free at Barcelona after Utd won the treble trying to find some Charlie for some bloke who's wife only let him go to the football if he got her some Charlie - they didn't have it!

Tried to blot out Old Spice. It was launched in 1937 and it was a favourite for your dad or uncle for Christmas. Not something I ever smelled on anyone young in the 60's.

Just had a pm from a shy member who's suggestion is Dior Dior - she is very upmarket. I also remember Sea Jade by Yardley. Didn't know you were a United fan Moldie.
