Went to a relatives 21st last night,at their house! NO SOUL MUSIC - Thats weird for us! We listened and alas danced and sangalong to a wide range of music from Aerosmith to ZZ Top (ye twas mostly rocky stuff) - Started at 6.30pm and after lots of us helping ourselves to our hosts FREE BAR ,well stocked with draught beers, cans ,bottles and spirits, myself and Sue finally slid off @ 3.45 am to walk what was a 10 min walk which seemed a 50 mile trek! So on rising this morning we've treated our ears to some mellow soothing soulful choons! Great night though and for once we stayed out later than the kids!As their taxi arrived to ferry them to their homes at 3am,1 nil to the old 'uns - Round 2 next week as some of them are coming to Riverside Motown and Old soul night to support Sue on the decks!

Similar thing happened to us - nephew is in a rock band but he and his mate from the same band drove Pete's sister to Brighouse from York for the soul night recently. They loved it and I got them passes for Whitby this year. Think we have two converts now. Hopefully we won't have to listen to some heavy metal in his car in the future. No soul for us this week-end so looking forward to Friday in Crickhowell.
7 days are to long without you baby - come on back to me! - KTF
