What a brilliant across the board music policy too , Northern , Motown , R & B , British Beat , Ska and Reggae . REFRESHING!! Just to add to the above, we sat with a couple of guys last night we've known from the Northern scene , confirmed "Northern Soulies" and we spent a lot of the night using phrases like - "nice version , havent heard it by these before , who is it?" "OMG thats nice" - "Oh no , I didnt like this version by so and so but hell this is worse!" - culminating in us having a bit of a shuffle to the ska / reggae sounds etc. Like I said REFRESHING . Quiite a good age group range too. Roll on the 20th of Sept , hopefully recruit a few more Gloucester peeps to come along. Met and chatted with some very nice people too , look forward to seeing you again up in Glos @ Riversidesoul and Soulfusion.

I couldn't have said it better myself. Not sure what I expected, but what I can say is that it blasted through my expectations big time! Must confess when we arrived and i saw the size of the place my heart sank. The dance floor although wooden was by all acounts tiny and when we arrived there was hardly anybody in. But within half an hour the place was beginning to fill up and everyone was really friendly. Now those of you that know me will realise that normally i would judge a night by how much i danced, most nights fall into a sort of peak and trough situation. You are either dancing your arse off to stuff you love, OR chatting, sitting, or got your head in a record box spending money you havent got when the music is not so good. But Everything was turned completely on its head for me on Friday! The quality and mix of the music was by all accounts FANTASTIC. For those of you that have reservations, this is most definately not a Top 500 venue, it far far exceeds that! I wouldn't call it a "dancers" venue as its just not big enough, more of a brilliant night of amazing music with the opportunity to have a wee dance if you can find the space lol. The atmosphere by 10.30 was amazing and I will certainly be going again .... and again... and again... thank lads for creating such a refreshing and brillinat place for me to go!

hi neighbours ! many thanx again for giving us a look and thanx a million for your great reviews,so glad you had a good time as this is the most important thing for all go go children...and im glad you like the across the board 60s music policy,a bit of a risk with the beat and reggae instead of 70s/modern but it makes us different to getting together/bristol and it seems to work...hope you can make the next one on the 19th but might see you out and about before... ;D
