sounds like the kids I work with (I love my Job ) things that make me go hmmmmm: parents that don't set boundries for their children and then look for support saying they are "out of control". I wonder why parents that shout & swear at their children then look for support saying "they need anger management". I wonder why to shorten things down....parents that blame their children when all they are doing is mirroring their role models probably not a wise move posting this up considering my job so not sure how long it will stay up - but that is my Victor for the day

I love my job but sometimes, like this week, it is frustrating often i work with parents that don't set boundries for their children; sometimes because they do not know how. unfortunatly, when boundries & punishments are set by others in authority the parents justify thier kids behaviour, and dismiss what others have to say. somtimes the reason can be that we like to think our children can do no wrong. i read a statement by one parent that left me thinking of the term coined by Wayne C. Booth in his 1961 book The Rhetoric of Fiction... Unreliable Narrator e.g. very often what they have to say is inherently unreliable due to self-interest and/or personal bias there is truth in the saying, 'we are what we learn'; and most of our children's learning comes directly from us as parents. lock your car away Paul, it's not safe just yet
