Another good night , even did an impromptu set myself 1.15 to 2.00 to close out, abley assisted(truth be told she did most of it!!) by Sue whom had done her cracking Motown spot earlier in the evening( Soul fusion for her next week - Hitsville) Rob opened up with some modern chooooons , not my bag but went down well. Followed by Sues Motown slot , then Sean Chapman played a blinding set for an hour and got the place jumping to a real cross section of choons(thanks for bringing Joe Jama!) Geoff and Jamo carried on packing the floor as usual with another top set - 2 top guys! Our host Mike Eskins then double decked with debutant Sid and again played some varied and top choons - Was nice to see Sean and have a chat to him before her shot off up to Coppertops Mikes do. Next do is on 26th April with guest djs Nick Borst and Pete Stone. see www.riversidesoul.co.ukHopefully see a few at Soulfusion next week

Hi Martin, Thanks for the update. Yes, some great sets from all of the DJ's with a wide variation. ;D Sean Chapman did a great set with some great Northern, Crossover and Modern tunes. Some of the ones I particularly liked were: Soul Bros INC 'Pyramid, The Hamilton Movement, 'She's gone', Satisfactions, 'Take it or leave'(am still chasing that one, along with hundreds of others), The Four tracks, seven souls and lots more. Good to get Sid Pratt joining me on the decks, following on from our session at the Gladiator. Hope we can renew it next Sunday. Details of all of this years events are on www.riversidesoul.co.ukMike

We went to Micki's 'do' at Coppertops and saw Sean. He said he had enjoyed it at the Riverside. He played Hamilton Movement for me at Crickhowell on Friday - wonderful! Glad your night went well. May see you at Bridgwater on 29th of this month. We are at Soulfusion this Saturday, Pete DJing 11 till 12.
