First attendance at a SWSC event last night at Bridgwater and really enjoyed the evening. Hardly any traffic on the road both to and from the event with some great sounds played and friendly soulies 'feet moving to the beat' with all the enthusiasm as expected. Congrats to the DJs and organisers of the anniversary event. looking forward to the next event.

i felt really honoured when pete and cathy asked me to do a spot at there 10th anniversary and even more so when my better half agreed to go with me...the
day seemed to take ages to arrive but when it did the excitement started at 8am when we got up....we were due at there home for pre event drinks and food so
left in good time for the 2 and a half hour drive.....within 20 minutes of hitting the M4 there was plenty of traffic and me not being mr patient started to
panic...it was stop start all the way down to the turning for the M5...things cleared for a while before more traffic slowed us down so it was into the
services for a pit stop and a chill out....we were soon back on the rd and following the precise instructions from cathy as there home is...in the middle of
nowhere and with no phone signal directions needed to be spot on and they were....many of the guests were already then when we arrived including ginger and
christine, hannah, angela and a cpl of ppl i had never met....cathy is the perfect host and i was son chatting to pete and ginger with a cuppa in hand...carol
soon dissappeared and was soon engaged in girlie chat...bored i guess by the boys talkin records....soon after dr pickles and lou and tracy and andy bin soon
arrived and the get together was soon well underway....the hosts had layed on a fine spread fit for a posh wedding and it was time to tuck in...i tried to
hold back but found myself having a mexican stand off for the last sausage...after looking round the superb barn conversion which cathy sold to carol within
minutes it was time to head off to meet our company for the night...bob and ann from blandford....superb company as always
we arrived at the venue soon after opening time to find steve godfrey spinning the tunes and there were already a fair few ppl there....i remembered fromour
last visit ppl arrive before opening time...it wasnt long before i was putting my first tune on the decks and pete encourages the djs to play what they want
and to try and play something not heard at bridgwater before....a 30 minute spot soon goes and ginger was up next and played some tunes id never heard before
which was nice and when pete took over for his 30 minute set the venue was filling up nicely.....i was soon back on the decks and played some 6ts,7ts,rnb and
even a track from 2005...the crowd seemed to like my mix of tunes and showed there appreciation at the end of my spot...ginger followed me again and played
some real monster tunes that most of us only dream about owning...a real treat for the dancers who made great use of the dancefloor which im glad to say
remained talc free throughout..hope my video helped lolololol
pete ended the night as always and left the crowd wanting more which is how it should be and i was well pleased when he played jt parker just before the end
the whole lyster experience was superb from arrival at there home to the goodbyes at the end of the night...carol and i thankyou so much and carol wants to
thank all the ladies for making her feel so comfortable and yes i have to say...i dont know why shes with me either lolololol
bridgwater is definately a great night to attend wether your a dancer or a collector or just out for a quality social night with like minded soulies....no
handbaggers here im glad to say
always nice to see matt, wazz & wazzette, steph and partner, tim and dundee ron and everyone else that made it for me a perfect night.....and i finally got to
meet up with mr willis
if you have never been to bridgwater then you are certainly missing out
regards moldie

Had a great night thanks to Pete and Cathy. Without talc worked fine, even though the floor was lethal in some spots. That must have been that Cathy bird with her polish and mop!!! Really liked all the toons played and was especially sweaty (eeeww!) so must have danced alot. Always nice to see soul friends, especially Ian and Mel, Sara, all the plym and paignton posse. See you at Barnstaple and we can do it all over again!

Sorry to read about your traffic experience Moldie, however good to hear the tunes you played and to read that you had a perfect night. One highlight for a few people at the event was the moment when Ginger was absent from the podium for a few seconds and (as the temptations would say) 'the band played on! A toulouse lautrec, or was it WC Fields impression? was then followed by Gingers return to the podium and this certainly gave a few a laugh. Memories are made of this! Good to see Ginger on the floor towards the end of the night though (moving his feet to the beat that is, not flat out after the event). Awaiting the you tubes.

WELL JUST PUT GINGER AND CHRISTINE BACK ON THE TRAIN FROM TAUNTON AFTER A GOOD LUNCH. HE LOVES IT AT BRIDGWATER AS CAN PLAY SOME OF THE TUNES HE DOES NOT GET TO PLAY OFTEN. THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU WHO CONTRIBUTED TO A GREAT NIGHT AND FOR ALL THE GIFTS RECEIVED TO MARK OUR ANNIVERSARY. THE DJ'S DID A GREAT JOB AND THE QUALITY OF THE MUSIC I THOUGHT WAS INSPIRING. I WILL POST UP NEXT YEARS DATES WHEN I GET CONFIRMATION FROM THE RUGBY CLUB. THANKS ONCE AGAIN FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND FRIENDSHIP.
