a superb weekend for me.. picked young tom up at the ferry at 2pm-talking all the way to megsys in stourbridge.with a good amount of black country coffee and soul for the next few hours supplied by megs the banter got louder and more exciting. then a short trip to wallsal to catch up with dave n clare for more pre stoke chat and record box serching.the news that ady n sam were on the way from plymouth added to the atmosphere, changing daves mind into going.. with a bottle of vodka from clare ,yvette was happy. tickets waiting for us as we walked into luther ingrams "if its all the same"we found our space and hit the floor.good to see lou n dr p were there.looking as excited as we were. a few tunes later our buddys are in and numbers are at full strength. the night flew by with classic after classic..soul sam changed the sounds with the spot of the night for me... then time seemed to pass us by and were all outside wishing friends old n new a safe trip home. megsys again by 7.30 for more coffee and reviewing the night. fuelled up we left the black country and were home by 12.30 just in time for the highlight of my birthday weekend(and king kennys) 3-1 get in my son .....whens the next bridgewater? ?
