Well what a great night - I personally danced my socks off. The quality of music I thought was great - something for everyone. Lots of people braved the weather to have a great time. Nice to see the South West out in force and a few new faces. Luckily we didn't set the smoke alarms off with the candles on Moldie's cake. I think the one room works well. Next one February 4th and by then you will definately be up for it. THANK GOODNESS FOR RED BULL!!

well ive finally recovered after a full weekend of soulin...after leaving work at 2.30 it was straight down to mike eskins house in gloucester no snow what so ever so i was confident of getting there safely..a cup of tea from mikes servant as soon as i arrived and before long soul sam, sean chapman, leon brown, des parker, martin and sue and various others arrived for a feast and a drink pre niter.ted by all very nice touch indeed and appreciated by all...many thanks to sue and leons lady for washing up afterwards
after sorting out transport it was off to the venue and putting the finnishing touches to this great place for a nighter it was great to see ppl already waiting to get in..pete french had the equipment sounding perfect and after one final sound check i was behind the decks and raring to go...mikes policy of getting stuck in from the start meant i moved uptempo and got to play what i wanted...ppl where on the floor throughout my spot which is always nice to see....next up was leon and he carried on playing top tunes throughout his set till it was time for mike eskins to take over and for me he played his best ever niter set..a real pleasure to listen to ...the venue was filling up nicely and although freezing outside the temperature was heating up inside and next up was des parker this man is so underated and theres not many that can slip a cheapie in amongst a four figure tune and make them sound the same value the legend that is soul sam was next up and his enthuisiasm has never waned and his antics behind the decks only enhance his superb selection of tunes...lord lyster as hes been called followed sam..not an easy thing to do...and played some real quality tunes ...four of which had me on ebay and gemm at 7am the following mornin....the quality of petes toons more than made up for his shirt lololol sean chapman followed next and monster after monster appeared on the decks and even had him dancing on the floor and the stage john weston was up next and he certainly knows how to get a crowd going and is a real character...pete french ended the night in superb fashion play a set as great as the sound system he provides...if you ever need quality equipment for your event then hes your man
for me this was the best niter at wooton hall..musically brilliant and meeting so many nice ppl helped me to have an awesome 48th birthday....many thanks for the cards and cake and all the nice words regarding my set
all in all a great night and a massive well done to mike and his team
regards moldie

Thanks Cathy for opening the thread and to Moldie for the UTube video and comprehensive review. A great night musically and I agree that the one room really worked well. Thought we had got the lighting sorted out around the stage area to suit the ambience of a Nighter.
Not much to add to Moldies review but would like to thank all of the DJ's for their great sets, the folk who came in sub Zero temperatures and to all of the team who helps me put this together.
See you all soon.
Mike
