On a night when there was a ridiculous amount of events elsewhere, the Riverside faithful turned out to support the venue. Whilst numbers were down the evening was a great success. Lots of new faces and people who made the expedition over from Cheltenham(Chelt people on the whole not normally come this way). Some great sets from all of the DJ's, which were varied and ranged right across the board. A great atmosphere and highly successful night. On now to the Allnighter. if you not got a ticket, best get one as they are selling by the day. Lots went on saturday. ;D

The support this event gets, from the soul scene, constantly amazes me!!! The allnighter is looking fantastic, and without doubt, from a Northern Soul perspective, will be the Jewel in the crown for Gloucestershire in 2009

Any chance of some idea what was played or is it easier to go on to the Riverside website.

Don't really do playlists for one reason & another, I can't usually remember what I had for lunch, let alone what I played Saturday night, also playlists don't really convey the atmosphere of a venue, but hey...that's just my opinion!! This is my current 20 favourite spins, which usually get a spin at some of the enlightened venues I get asked to do, the Riverside being no exception!!!
Ronnie walker - On & On - Virtue Acetate Herb Johnson - Hold On - Cover Up Guys From U.N.C.L.E. - Like A Good Girl Should - Swan Acetate Robert Walker - Shake Them Up - Cover Up Soul Set - Will You Ever Learn - Bi Me Soul Sensations - Baby I Love You - Impact Sound Acetate Johnny Preye - Can't Get Too Much Love - Sidewalk Bobby "Guitar" Bennett - Blow My Stack - V Tone Acetate Al Scott - What Happened To Yesterday - Genuine Dean Parrish - Nothing To Lose - Cover Up Wayne Lo Guidice - Eye To Eye - A1 Acetate William Powell - Heartache Souvenirs - Powerhouse Subway Riders - Lot Of Lovin' - Cover Up Herb Ward - Honest To Goodness (Version 2) - Virtue Acetate Terry Lindell - I'm Still Yours - York Town Judy Street - Won't Always Be King - Cover Up Josephine Taylor - I'm Gone - Sheldon Acetate Ray Agee - I'm Losing Again - Soultown Stokes - Fortune Teller - Audiodisc Acetate Hayes Cotton - Black Wings Has My Angel - Resist
Hope this gives a flavour of what to expect (from me anyway!!)
