Kerry's Record Box

thought i'd move into another thread Kerry.

the box is a 'one - off' ^{(although that's not strictly true)}
you could say its an ORIGINAL RECORD BOX ;D

i had it custom made by an old work colleague of mine. he dont get much spare time so it took about four months for me to get it. the second picture you see is how i got it. the inside was left bare as i wasnt sure how i wanted it lined - i've got carpet inside it now

I have got another coming which will be the same and i have a few ideas of how i am going to modify it - learnt from some mistakes i've made with the current one

i will ask if he would make another for you but when i said he could probably get some orders he was not interested - because he dont get the time. he charged me £25 for each one of mine which is very cheap imo one sold on Soul Source for £30 and it was only a third of the size

if he did make you one - you would have to colour it pink and sparkly yourself ;D

This box sounds very much like the dolls house I had - I had carpet in it and decorated the walls with wallpaper left over from when dad decorated. Joking apart the box looks good and will show reverence to the lovely vinyl within it. Had to laugh recently at the Newquay week-ender when Mich H turned up to do his afternoon spot with records in a Morrison's carrier bag.

that sounds like my mate Butch (the dark one...as he calls himself ). i shudder when i see him pull records out of a scraggy holdall by the handfull i dont know if you noticed it Cathy when he DJ'd in plymouth - he didnt have a record box with him - he never does.
