Wow, what a venue, we were stunned Stayed almost all night in the modern room, very classy room, music suited me to a T, lots of favourites played, Jan Jones for one, lots of 70s some 80s . Tony was hoping for a little more new soul, but hey im happy i was in my comfort zone and danced all night, just popped downstairs to the main room occasionally to check on the others( dean yvette, paul and sheena) maybe a quick dance then back upstairs to the modern room, I can't say what the northern room was like, only heard a couple of tracks really ( one was an R&B track ) dreadful A well organised night, great venue, great modern room, oh a very happy birthday to Sheena , it was great to see you all

Bang up to date is what Tony looks for, maybe we were on one of the visits downstairs. no idea of the r&b track, just thought it was awful, i know some people like it, how it gets a place in a northern soul room is beyond me, personal opinion , they may as well play rockabilly ;D I didn't request any records, but you did walk over to me and hand me a modern cd, early on...thanks for that. We came for the modern room, if our freinds weren't in the northern i dare say we wouldn't have gone down there at all. we will be coming again, as for us it was a great night, really enjoyed it Particularly like the way the dance floor is away from the seating area, you don't feel like your in a goldfish bowl I danced to everything, thats a good night to me can you let Tony know what new music was played, Not being rude, but he really is interested and now thinks he missed them following me downstairs ;D
