Its always good to be able to mix business with pleasure and I had the perfect opportunity over the last weekend. The weekend involved leaving Plymouth Saturday lunchtime to attend a business meeting in Bristol at 4pm. Good company on the way up made for a very pleasurable journey - with coffee and cigarette stops along the way. The meeting was full of very pleasant folks which made it a pleasurable experience in itself. On the Sunday I was booked in to give a 'talk' at an event being held in Portland, Dorset. Rather than travel back to Plymouth it was arranged to stop somewhere between Bristol & Portland overnight. This is where the most pleasurable bit comes in........... .....the 'stop over' became a visit to see my daughter and grandchildren that i haven't seen for about 5 months. Arriving in Poole at 10pm, my daughter had kept her son up so we could have a little time together which was fantastic. The change in such a short period of time is huge, his speech was amazing ;D In the morning before setting off to Portland I was able to spend an hour with my grandaughter ;D ;D Wow what a difference.... After a long weekend of business I arrived back in Plymouth Sunday evening at 8pm.......but my weekend of business felt like pure pleasure anyone else have any stories of mixing business/pleasure?
