some dub shows i used to set my decks up in my Splitscreen and that was my DJ booth 
those were the days,i did it because it meant i could still play music to folk as i did miss doing the decks when i came out of soul & scoots
this way i could still play music to folk and get that buzz knowing they loved it
even flower powered up my 1st split when i 1st used to dj from it
as i say if its advertised right,ie 70s Glam/Fancy Dress prefered or only,then Psychadelic backdrops in the room,trust me ive done it that many times if everyone goes knowing its 70s Carwash and dresses the part its 'AWESOME' ;D
And everyone all ages love it
