Decided to attend the 5th Anniversary event at last minute after football commitments were cancelled. First time at the venue, great free parking just outside and very convenient location for all northern soul enthusiasts in Bristol.
Reasonable layout for dancing in the new venue with good floor surface on a very cold night in Bristol. Good friendly management and excellent responsibility by persons with drinks, close to the dance floor.
Guest Dj's Kev Higham and Ted Massey certainly turned the heat up and kept the dancefloor busy. Managed to dance all through Ted Masseys session...one fantastic tune after another... and also a superb selection by Dean (inc Herbert Hunter's 'I was born to love you') to an appreciative audience..just before leaving at 1.30am.
Many thanks for the 5th anniversary CD, and to all DJ's. Many, many, thanks to Ted Massey for a great evening of the very best Northern sounds...Tomangoes to begin with, followed by other top tunes such as Aspirations, Poets 'Wrapped around your finger', Vivian Jones 'Money cant buy my love', Appointments, Little Soul, J T Parker, Ray Agee 'I'm Losing Again etc etc.
Pleasure to experience a great night of northern Soul in Bristol.
